Regional Conferences

Regional conferences are held in regions where participants share information and promote standards amongst members. Regional offices are responsible for organising the regional conferences. Dates for regional conferences are found on the institute calendar.

Academic conferences

Academic conferences are symposiums for customer service excellence researchers and academics to present and discuss their work in the field. Such conferences provide an important channel for exchange of information between researchers. Conferences are usually composed of various presentations which are usually followed by a discussions. The work may be bundled in written form as academic papers and published as the conference proceedings.

Usually a conference will include keynote speakers (often, scholars of some standing, but sometimes individuals from outside academia). In addition to presentations, conferences also feature panel discussions, round tables on various issues, poster sessions and workshops.

The schedule of academic conferences are on the institute’s calendar.

Training Workshops and Seminars

A training workshop is a type of interactive training where participants carry out a number of training activities rather than passively listen to a lecture or presentation. Broadly, two types of workshops exist: A public workshop or general workshop is put on for a mixed audience, and a closed workshop or in-house is tailored towards meeting the training needs of a specific group or organisation. The institute runs numerous training workshops and seminars for those wanting to achieve certification.  Such workshops also ensure that members acquire the required annual CPD points. Organisations are free to request for in-house workshops which can be run at any time according to the organisation’s logistical requirements or can check the Institute calendar for general workshops. Check our programmes section for a list of programmes.
